Micoy Captures New York City! November 16, 2004 |
BIG APPLE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS FILMED WITH REVOLUTIONARY CAMERA SYSTEM
Des Moines, IA -- Micoy, the world’s only provider of True Immersive Video™, announced today the filming of landmark locations in New York City using the patent-pending Micoy Camera System.
Times Square, Central Park, Grand Central Station and Liberty Island were among many locations which were recently filmed by Micoy using a camera system able to film live action in all directions simultaneously, in higher resolution and with none of the perspective distortions inherent in other panoramic filming technologies.
The spherical fields of view of Micoy video, when combined with displays such as digital domed theaters or other immersive environments, creates the effect of being present in person wherever the film was captured.
“Viewing Micoy footage of these famous locations in immersive display systems will recreate the New York City experience like never before” said Joe Stevens, Micoy CEO. “Over the next few months we’ll be inviting customers to ‘come to New York City’ at trade shows and other events where we’ll show this footage on several different kinds of display systems, demonstrating our ability to create the most true-to-life digital film in the world, for many types applications.”
